The fact that AEO and GEO already wield such power and impact over what people think of you, your first impressions as a brand or individual, and directly dictate the customer journey makes it understandable to feel that the element of narrative control is further out of your hands.
Awareness of what’s being said about you and your brand, and contributing to that story with fact, expert insight and signposting to what you do, building a narrative that will last and be recognised across multiple channels is arguably not new. But today, it has greater power and potential longevity than ever before.
